A major hurricane is working it's way through the Atlantic and headed right for Bermuda. Hurricanes reach "major" status when they get to category 3, which is 111 mph winds or stronger. The Atlantic has been so quiet for much of the summer and early fall. The Pacific could see another named storm soon. There appears to be some development just south of Mexico and we could have "Trudy" in the next day or two. At least two of the tropical systems from the Pacific have had some influence on Kansas weather, but it's way to early to say if this developing storm will too.
It does look like our next chance for measurable moisture (at least on a larger scale) would be next Thursday, October 23rd. We will be watching. Go Royals!! Have a good Wednesday.
