Next storm arrives early next week

We made it to Friday and what a week this has been with ice, thundersleet, thundersnow, dangerous wind chills, etc. It has been pretty hectic. Aside from the wind, we do get a chance to enjoy some quieter weather for Saturday and Sunday.

The next storm - Monday/Monday Night:
I expect this storm to move right over the Rockies and into the Plains, which should put Kansas in a spot to have clouds, wind, and a chance for a little bit of precipitation. I don't expect there to be very many changes as the storm gets closer, but northern Kansas should get a little bit of snow Monday afternoon or Monday night. Farther south (for central and eastern Kansas), it's looking like some drizzle on Monday (and not a great deal of measurable rain).

One particular model is giving VERY light precipitation amounts for Kansas (this is rainfall on Monday)

Potential snowfall:
I don't think we will see very much snow, given the track. The brunt of this storm will likely be felt across the upper Midwest.

Sneak peek into late February:

Still signs of below normal temperatures heading into late February. This won't be record cold, but we also aren't headed for long stretches of warm weather either. And the weather pattern still looks very active.
