Look to the north! Temperatures in Canada are still in the single digits and teens, and that is the air that will move south.
Timing: the cold front will come through on Thursday, but we will still get to enjoy some 60° weather for the afternoon. The winds will turn to the north and temperatures will go down, down, down into Friday morning.
Friday: the day will start dry (and very chilly), with the chances for rain and snow increasing during the afternoon. It's looking like rain showers will change to light snow for southern Kansas, with most of western and northern Kansas just getting some light snow.

It will also be rather windy Friday afternoon, which will make it quite uncomfortable throughout the day.
Snowfall Possibilities: Although it doesn't appear there will be a ton of snow, it's now looking like central and northern Kansas will get up to 2 inches in grassy areas. Isn't this crazy. That's where the snow has been this winter though, so it's not totally surprising.

Record Lows Saturday: Watch out. More sub-freezing temperatures are likely, and dropping into the teens by Saturday morning will mean more records will be set.
