This latest cold snap is about as crazy as it gets for Kansas in April. Sure, we didn't get any big amounts of snow, but the temperatures are crazy enough.
Record lows are likely Saturday morning. Here are the numbers to watch:
Sat. Night - Sunday:
Another system is pushing in on Sunday, which should lead to another round of a wintry mix. It's not looking to be much of a storm, but watch for some rain and snow to develop across much of the state. It should be clearing up heading into Sunday afternoon.
Next week, it's almost like a switch gets flipped and we see a big change in the weather pattern. We will find ourselves staring at 80 degree weather by the middle of the week. It's going to get quite warm and windy by Wednesday and Thursday. But that's more fitting for April than snow and record cold. What a stretch of weather we are having.
