As I write this entry, I'm in the middle of my morning radio updates thinking about the active weather pattern that has been going on for a month or so. When I say active, I'm talking about the fact that we have had one storm system after another, some bringing rain and storms, while others have dropped heavy snow on the area. It is good to get moisture at this time of the year because everything is trying to green up and grow. It seems as if the trees and even some of the plants are a little slow to green up. Of course, the hard freeze earlier in the week didn't help.
This chart has many lines on it, but I highlighted what may be of most interest to you. This is model of the northern hemisphere storm systems that will be affecting the central Plains over the next week or so. There are 3 of them lined up and ready to come through. The first one will be gone by the weekend, but storm number 2 is coming in for Easter Sunday. So be ready, hunting eggs may not be much fun outside on Sunday, especially over central Kansas.
We are still working on our weather special that will hit the air at the end of the month. I don't have a date yet, but I will let you know when it's ready to go on the air. It was pushed back this year because of the new weather graphics that we had to learn to use. Have a great weekend and Happy Easter.

I'm glad central Kansas is getting moisture. Extreme west Kansas is still waiting our turn. Maybe this weekend?
