The radar estimates are quite high in so many different areas. It's going to take weeks for all of this high water to find a place to go and some roads will be closed for awhile.

Severe weather is not expected on a widespread basis for this afternoon (Wednesday), however, more rains will traverse the area. It will start north of Dodge City and stretch up toward the Hays/Russell areas. It will then be moving east.

By early evening, we will see the heavier rains into central/south central Kansas where areas already flooded will be seeing more rain. It could be coming down around an inch per hour in some spots, so please respect the high water and any barricades that go up.

By 10 p.m. tonight, much of the rain will have cleared the area. We should have some calmer conditions heading through the night.
