Rain coming our way this week

Fall is a second season of severe weather in the Plains and look at some of the reports from Sunday afternoon:

Much cooler air is trying to take over from the northern Plains and Canada, which meets up with the warmer air, helping to create these storms. This big storm across the western is producing heavy snows from Colorado into Canada. Seasons are definitely changing and some very chilly air is definitely gathering to our north.

Most rain today (Monday) will be across the west. But chances will get pushed east tomorrow, and by Tuesday night - Wednesday, much of central and eastern Kansas will be in line to get some rain (not severe storms). Forecast models hint that .50-1" should fall over our area, with slightly higher amounts focused a bit farther north.

Very Chilly Air on the Horizon!!
Very cool air is poised to drop south. This could lead to frost for parts of Kansas, which would be right on schedule for some areas in the northwest. Details to unfold this week as we get closer.
