A New Addition

Every once in a while, I like to keep you updated on the happenings in my family. Just recently, I became an uncle with the arrival of Wade Leland Janssen. He was born on Friday in Salina, so a big congrats to my older brother and his wife. I was hoping to get a picture holding the baby, but Wade was needing some extra attention in the nursery, so hopefully soon I'll get a picture with the new family member. We are all excited, except that I feel a little bit older now.

Thanks to everyone for submitting guesses on the first one inch of snow. Any guesses received after Sunday (Nov. 18) will be thrown out. As soon as it happens, I'll be announcing the winner on here and we will get a prize out to the lucky person.

The changes in the weather this week will be drastic, but it is only because we have been so warm lately. Highs in the 40s isn't that unusual for this time in November, but we haven't had any really cold weather this fall. We are still waiting for the storm to develop, and as soon as it does, we will have a better idea on who will get snow and who will get rain. The moisture will be nice (if it actually materializes) Have a great Sunday!

Congrats to the family. We all tend to feel a bit older when a new one comes along. In my case, who would have thought one of the kids my mom babysat would be a weatherman. Way to go Ross!!

Hey Ross,
Congratulations to you (and of course to mom and dad). From what I can tell, Wade looks like a very handsome young man. He will definitely be the apple of your eye! Who knows, maybe he will be the next Jansenn meteorologist!!

Hey CONGRATS Ross on the new addition to your family, that is awesome! Well you are as young as you feel, so surround yourself with youth and it will keep you young in heart!

Well I know ya'll use computer forecast models for your predictions on the upcoming weather but I'm guessin' we aren't actually going to see an inch that actually sticks to the ground for a while yet. I'm not worried about being part of any contest, but for fun I'll throw out Dec 15th, at noon (I'd been on sooner, but been swapped lately). I much prefer Spring, Summer, & Fall, at least when they are warm as these upcoming 40 degree highs are for the birds (I'd be content with NO snow, sleet, and blistery cold wind)! Guess I'm just getting old.

Take care Ross and fellow bloggers. Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Congratss on becoming an uncle! I am sure you will do a great job of "spoling" your nephew. Kids bring such a great joy to the world. My sister just recently had a new baby, so I am an aunt once again and I absolotely love spending time with my two nieces. Good luck and enjoy your time as an uncle!
