Crazy Weather Pattern

Another round of severe weather takes its toll on a big metro area. Atlanta, GA had a bout with severe weather Friday night and there were two fatalities in Georgia. Someone in our newsroom said they didn't see any pictures of the actual tornadoes from that area and I think it's largely due to the fact they just don't have the storm chaser population like we have here in the central US. The storms interrupted the Arizona/Mississippi State game which was in overtime. They should've stopped the game sooner and they were lucky the tornado wasn't stronger, or the death could've been much worse.

We have two powerful storms that could affect our weather this week. The first will arrive on St. Patrick's Day with showers and storms. Another system will be coming in next weekend for Easter. Sunrise on Easter is set for 7:29 a.m. for those that might be going to sunrise services.

I have a severe weather presentation coming up Monday evening for the Sunnydale 4-H Club. I hope to have some pictures for the blog tomorrow evening. Have a great week and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Top of the Mornin' To Ya,

How are we all on this St Patty's Day Mornin'? Just wanted to say hello to everyone and wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day. Spring is just around the corner, I can't wait as we are just Day's away. The 17th, 18th, & then SPRING is HERE! Though I don't look forward to mowing the lawn, I'll take the trade off for everything else that comes with Spring and definately the lack of SNOW & COLD DAYS!!!!

"St. Patrick's Day is an enchanted time - a day to begin transforming winter's dreams into summer's magic." - Adrienne Cook

Oh Ross I sent you a pic that I found of the storm in Georgia, just glad more weren't hurt with the lack of warning for everyone there! Get back with me about it if you can. Oh and good luck on your 4-H presentation, I'm sure you'll do great!

I will leave ya'll with another Irish Quote...“May you always walk in sunshine. May you never want for more. May Irish angels rest their wings right beside your door.”

Good Day!

Erin Go Braugh!!

To those of you that wonder...it means "Ireland is Beautiful". My family has a very strong Irish heritage, so today is truly a day we celebrate. I really like the Irish sayings you posted Ty. They are very nice.

Wow! Only 2 more days to go. It looks like we might have a nice week ahead after today gets over with. With Easter so early this year, it may be a little cold Easter morning, and raining too??? I guess we need to get the moisture while we can, you never know what summer may be like.

Congratulations to Ross for the KU #1 seed in the NCAA tournament! I do, however, have to brag on the K-State team making it in after a several year absence. Good luck to both teams! They should represent us well.

Well, everyone remember to wear green, and have a Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

Happy St. Patrick's day to everyone. I forgot to wear green all day.

Glad to hear that Atlanta residents didn't suffer more than they did and the storm wasn't that stronger.

Hope KU and K-State both do well in the tournament, just hope KU does a little better than K-State.

Good Evening/Morning Everyone,

I meant to blog about this the other day. Did anyone happen to catch that story that KWCH aired, I believe, over the weekend on the device that is suppose to annoy teens and keep them from loitering in certain areas.

It made me feel even older once they said the device was on and that only the youth could hear the audible frequency! I kept listening, but nothing...it was a deaf tone to me! Just thought I'd see if anyone else saw the bit and if they heard it or not and how it made them feel???

It was so nice to get some moisture and it looks like we might continue! We were so dry there for so long, I'd even seen several grass fires. Much needed rain, but made for a dreary day!

Take care all, Spring is just a day away! KEEP BLOGGING! I MISS YA'LL and remember "Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!"" - Robin Williams

Have a great day!

Hey gang...
Is it just me, or did I hear Ty up at midnight screaming "IT'S SPRING! IT'S SPRING!!" Just a teaser Ty, but I wanted to be able to share the beginning of the new season with everyone. Thanks for being the great countdown guy Ty. I know you are especially glad!

I am sure thankful for the great rains over the past few days. We didn't get as much here as Southern Kansas, but much needed nonetheless. I hope no one had a flooded basement like I heard about. That didn't look so good.

I am so excited for tomorrow...the beginning of the NCAA tournament. I think the first round for KU should be easy, but not so easy for K-State. I gotta root big for my Cats though, but good luck to both teams!

Enjoy the great weather!
