A Visit to Rex Elementary

I visited Rex Elementary a little over a month ago and I think I promised the kids I would post the pictures. We had a great time and we kicked off the school year discussing weather (of course). I have just two pictures of the kids and they were great listeners. I don't have any school talks scheduled soon, but I am headed to the Newton Wal-Mart next weekend for a safety talk.

It's a busy week and I'll update the blog before I head off to the K-State/KU game this weekend. Should be fun, I just wish the weather was going to be cooler.

I'm glad you had a good time at school! Those were the best times I remember during school, I think at one time Mark came to my elementary school and did the cloud in the bottle trick. And the composer in the picture is Beethoven! Go music in schools!

I think it is so great that you are so involved and go out and talk with the youth...our future!

So when you going to be Newton at the Walmart, do you know day and times as I missed talking to you at the fair? I didn't realize that they did safety talks, or are you talking to the staff? If your going to be inside I imagine Millie can't go this time? Just curious man.

Hope you have great weather for the BIG KSU vs KU game, I'll be partying here but sorry....GO WILDCATS!!!

As an educator myself, I have watched many flawless broadcasts that you have done and have often caught myself thinking that you may have missed your calling. :) Ross, you would be an EXCELLENT teacher! You truly have a gift that draws people in to what you are saying. So, if you are ever looking for a career change...

Great job these past few weeks while Merril has been away from work. It doesn't seem like you miss a beat. Keep up the good work.

I am in agreement about being an excellent teacher. You are a great role model and I hope you always stay that way.
Is Millie going to the game?

Hey Ross,

I hope you enjoy the game tomorrow, it really should be an excellent game this year as both teams are playing great! I'll be in my purple gear catching it on TV. But at least their isn't any rain left in the forcast right, just some heat, but the wind should help some, I hope as the stands will be PACKED!

I agree with the other bloggers, superb job covering for Merril, so smooth, calm, and smiling all the time!!!
